Hip Kids and Voices Chorus
Spring 2020 enrollment
Hip Kids and Voices enrollment is now available for Spring 2020. Our 16 week program is an all immersive singing group dedicated to the musical exposure of pop performance amongst teenagers and youngsters. Under the guidance of Victor Cervantes, Program Director and Creator, students learn to craft and perform an entire pop choir performance featuring duets, solos and full choir opportunities that challenges each student's individual musical ability. Hip Kids and Voices will integrate even more master workshops and training courses to help students sharpen their live performance experience and their ability to command the big stage! Mission Statement:
Hip Kid’s & Voices offers young singers the chance to learn and master the art of live performance. Focusing meticulously on technique and vocational training through pop performance, Hip Kids & Voices will learn to command a stage through the guided tutelage of leading professionals, music teachers and a live stage crew. Along with this, students are given the opportunity to work closely with a live band, and a state of the art performance venue in preparation for an end of the year concert featuring YOU! Whether a casual beginner or a seasoned performer, Hip Kids & Voices offers specific singing roles for any level of musician.
Under the direction of Victor Cervantes, CEO and President of Inspire Music Lessons, Hip Kids & Voices was founded on a passion for live performance. Victor’s professional career as a contemporary pop/latin singer has allowed him to develop a successful teaching approach to singing live while working with notable singers like Shakira and Universal’s Pilar Montenegro in the process.
The goal is simple; Give aspiring singers a 16 week educational roadmap and training program that will empower them to command any live performance, from the very beginning of preparation to the day of performance, while making new friends in the process!
“Young singers should be given the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the live performance setting. To my knowledge, there are very few programs that offer this type of in depth hands on training. Through this program, I have seen the confidence of young singers flourish and it’s truly a joy to see a student take hold of their art and passion with such precision and conviction. This is a skill set any dedicated music student can develop!”
The Hip Kids & Voices semester spans 16 weekly courses held on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. and begins in February 11th 2020. Each session will emphasize a different aspect of contemporary vocational techniques culminating in a concert featuring Hip Kids & Voices soloists and a full choir performing a contemporary vocal repertoire.
Student Expectation Policy:
Hip Kids & Voices is designed for all levels of singers 2nd to 8th grade. We ask that students who participate come with a willingness to learn and be part of an active choir. Students participating must maintain a good attitude and attend every lesson unless otherwise stated in a written excuse. Students are also expected to rehearse outside of class and come prepared each week for solos and featured performances. Parent or Guardians are expected to uphold this as it directly affects the success of other members in the group. We hope you will join us for the Spring 2020 semester!
